Employee's fingertip amputated by printing press

On March 13, 1992, Employee #1 was adjusting the Hamade 600 duplicators printing press for another job. The adjustment must be made with the press operating. Employee #1's finger contacted an unguarded sprocket chain drive and his right middle fingertip was amputated. After the accident, the sprocket chain guard was found in the vicinity of the press and was immediately installed.
