Investigation Summary
At approximately 9:20 a.m. on March 25, 1992, Employee #1, a 42-year-old Pie-Cron press operator for Glen Air Inc., was operating the Pie-Cron machine when the upper part of the press descended, fracturing four fingers on her left hand. The press was properly equipped with hydraulic double hand controls. Employee #1 was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center and hospitalized. The employer was advised to retrain the employees and to enforce safety rules and regulations.
