EMPLOYEE CATCHES HAND IN ROTATING LAWN MOWER BLADE

AT APPROXIMATELY 1:45 P.M. ON FEBRUARY 2, 1992, AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED AT THE OAK PARK UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. EMPLOYEE #1, A MAINTENANCE WORKER, WAS INJURED WHILE CLEANING AND UNCLOGGING GRASS FROM A HUSTLER 400 LAWN MOWER. THE UPPER PORTION OF EMPLOYEE #1'S RIGHT INDEX FINGER GOT CAUGHT BY THE ROTATING BLADE. EMPLOYEE #1 WAS TAKEN TO WESTLAKE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, WHERE HE WAS GIVEN PROPER TREATMENT AND RELEASED THE SAME DAY.
