Employee injured when struck by falling stacked sheets

Employee #1, a project manager, was attempting to retrieve a 4 by 8 sheet of plexiglass from a stack of 4 by 8 sheets of Melamine and plastic that were leaning against a wall. Employee #1 moved the first two sheets to the adjacent stack without incident. As he pulled out the third sheet to move it, the entire stack fell onto him, knocking him to the floor and fracturing his left shoulder. Employee #1 was initially treated and released from the hospital. On or about January 27, he was admitted to the hospital for reconstructive surgery.
