STRUCK BY FLYING OBJECT

A scientific team was working in a research laboratory. A gas leak developed in part of the experimental apparatus, so the team decided to remove a part from a water bath to inspect it. Without deenergizing the apparatus, one of the employees lifted the part onto the edge of the bath. As he set the part down, it exploded. A piece of metal was projected at high velocity, and the projectile struck the employee in the head. He died of his injury.
