Investigation Summary
At approximately 11:45 a.m. on June 10, 1997, Employee #1, of Giummara Vineyards, was standing atop a plum sizing machine, preparing to clean its rollers, when the power source was activated. He sustained serious injuries when his legs became caught in the moving rollers. Employee #1 was taken via ambulance to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA.
