ELECTRIC SHOCK & FALL - CONTACT WITH ENERGIZED PARTS

A power line worker was assigned to install an electrical service to an irrigation water pump. The weather changed, and it started to rain. The employee started to rush so that he could finish the job and get out of the weather. He was working from an aerial lift while it was raining. In his rush to finish the job, he forgot to wear his fall protection harness. The employee believed that he received an electric shock, lost his balance, and fell to the ground. He was hospitalized with a fracture.
