Employee fractures leg in fall

Employee #1 was stacking timber as it came out of the planer. (A planer surfaces rough lumber making the surface smooth.) While pulling a 6 in. by 16 in. by 20 ft long timber from the planer chain, Employee #1 lost his balance and fell 26 in. to the ground. As he fell, his foot was caught under the timber and between it and a 3 in. high toe board at the edge of the walkway (work surface). His foot was held stationary by the toe board and the timber. His left leg was fractured as he fell.
