Employee injured in fall from trusses as they tip forward

Employee #1, a carpenter, climbed on top of a stack of trusses sitting on the top plate of a single story house, above the garage floor. He was preparing to cut the band holding several trusses together. The 2 by 4 supporting the center point of the trusses broke and fell, causing the trusses to tip forward and down. Employee #1 fell from the trusses, hitting his face and head against the wall of the garage. He fractured his left ankle when he landed on the garage floor.
