Employee injured when struck by trailer

At around 1:15 p.m. on August 21, 1991, Employee #1 was working at a loading dock. After loading a trailer in front of Door 27, he went out to remove the red warning flag in front of the trailer. The flag indicates that the trailer is being loaded. As he was walking back to the loading dock exit door, located between Doors 23 and 24, he was hit from behind by a trailer being positioned in front of Door 24. This tractor/trailer was being backed by a driver for Distributors Company. Employee #1 was taken to North Bay Medical Center in Fairfield with a broken pelvis and broken left femur.
