Employee cuts finger in unguarded material shaper

At approximately 10:45 a.m. on July 22, 1993, Employee #1 was shaving (deburring) sharp edges from the center hole and edges of an 8 inch by 11 inch plastic sheet. His hand slipped and contacted the shaper's unguarded cutting head. Employee #1 was taken to Hilltop Clinic in Richmond, CA, where he received five stitches in his left ring finger.
