Employee's vertebrae fractured in fall

At approximately 2:25 p.m. on October 25, 1990, Employee #1, of Georgia Pacific, Fort Bragg, CA, had finished his assigned job and went to the south edger to help a coworker change the saws. The access door to the edger saw was between the outfeed conveyor and the catwalks. Employee #1 fell and suffered four fractured vertebral prominences. He was taken to Mendocino Coast hospital and was released the next day to convalesce at home.
