Employee injures vertebrae in fall from dock

Employee #1, of Seagate Magnetics, and a coworker were trying to position a pallet loaded with light material at the edge of a loading dock. Employee #1, who had his back toward the edge of the dock, was pulling the pallet while the coworker pushed it. Employee #1 slipped, lost his balance, and fell off the dock 47 in. to the pavement. He sustained compression fractures to the T3 and T4 vertebrae. Employee #1 was taken to Tremont's Washington Hospital.
