Employee's finger lacerated while operating table saw

At approximately 1:00 p.m. on December 3, 1990, Employee #1, a cabinet maker, was using a 10 in. table saw to cut an irregularly-shaped piece of hardwood molding. He was using a push stick to move it through. Employee #1 had grabbed the other end of the molding to pull it through when the wood suddenly bent and kicked back. Employee #1's finger was lacerated when his left hand was pulled into the blade.
