ELECTRIC SHOCK - DIRECT CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE

A POWER LINE WORKER WAS TRYING TO DISLODGE A DEAD-END STICK FROM BETWEEN TWO UTILITY POLES. THE DEAD-END STICK BECAME ENERGIZED; AND THE EMPLOYEE, WHO WAS IN INDIRECT CONTACT WITH A GUY (THROUGH A "PREFORM"), RECEIVED AN ELECTRIC SHOCK. HE WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR HIS INJURY.
