Investigation Summary
At approximately 10:20 p.m. on December 17, 1990, Employees #1 through #14 were in a sort area sorting packages. A 5-gallon container of Liquid Stripper 76 compound, cleaning liquid NA 1760 Corrosive 8, was traveling on conveyor S1-D4-1. The conveyor is approximately 18 ft above floor level and directly above the employees. The container developed a leak and began to drip as it traveled down the conveyor. The liquid dripped onto the employees, causing skin irritations. They were immediately sent for medical treatment.
