Five employees hospitalized due to faulty water heater

On February 18, 1996, Employees #1 through #3 and two coworkers, all from the same Burger King restaurant, became ill after inhaling a chemical. Employees #1 through #3 were admitted and the restaurant was closed. At 10:00 p.m. on February 19, 1996, Employees #4 and #5 were hospitalized, and the restaurant was again closed. The fire department was called and the fire marshall found a problem with the hot water heater. All 35 restaurant employees were advised to get checked at a hospital.
