Employee's finger amputated between card machine rollers

Employee #1 had opened a trap door on an Ashworth Brothers card machine that had the guard removed and was using a wire brush to clean the revolving drums. His foot got caught in the machine and he lost his balance. The wire brush caught between two revolving roller/drums and pulled his hand into the roller/drums, amputating the little finger on his left hand and abrading the hand severely. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
