Employee catches hand in batching machine nip point

On November 19, 1991, Employee #1 was operating a winding machine called a batching machine. During the operation of the machine, he went to the winder to remove wrinkles from the fabric. As he did so his left hand was pulled into an in-running nip point, causing severe crushing injuries and lacerations to the fingers.
