EMPLOYEE INJURES BOTH KNEES IN FALL FROM UNRAILED WALKWAY

Employee #1, who worked for Verdin Construction Services, Incorporated, was exiting scaffold through a second story window that led to an open sided walkway. The walkway was about 10 ft above the floor, and was not guarded by a standard railing on the open side. Employee #1 stumbled as he climbed in backwards from the scaffold, and fell from the walkway to the floor below, injuring both his knees. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
