Employee severely burned in tank explosion

Employee #1 works for a company that buys and sells used motor oil. Ninety percent of the used oil is combustible; ten percent is flammable. Employee #1, a chain smoker, was transferring used fuel from one truck to another. It is believed that Employee #1 climbed on the truck to open the top hatch. When the hatch was open, his lighted cigarette ignited the vapors, causing an explosion inside the tank truck. Employee #1 was severely burned on the upper half of his body.
