Event: 07/22/1989
EMPLOYEE DIED FROM HEART ATTACK

Employee #1 was making watchman's rounds at 11 p.m. on the second day of his new job. Employee #1 was accompanied by another new employee. During the first walkaround, Employee #1 began to complain of fatigue, and was observed to be sweating heavily. Shortly after completion of the first walkaround, Employee #1 suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest. The other worker applied cardiopulmonary resuscitation, breathing was resumed by Employee #1, but consciousness was not regained. The second worker summoned help, but Employee #1 had suffered cardiac and respiratory arrest again during the several minutes it required to summon help. Employee #1 never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. No work related conditions could be found for the cardiac arrest.
