Painter Is Killed in Fall from Roof

At about 10:00 a.m. on March 10, 2005, Employee #1 was painting the side of a building from a 50-ft by 25-ft overhang. He tied off his 6-ft lanyard when he painted near the edge of the overhang. When he took a break, Employee #1 removed the harness, left it on the overhang, and climbed down a ladder. Upon returning, he ascended the ladder and began to don the lanyard. Employee #1 then tripped and fell. He was killed.
