Employee injured when crushed between pipe and backhoe

Two sections of 36 in. inner diameter concrete sewer pipe were stored adjacent to a Caterpillar backhoe. As Employee #1 walked along, a coworker began to swing the backhoe, and he was crushed between the rear of the vehicle and the concrete pipe. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
