Employee killed in 50 ft fall

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on July 15, 1988, Employee #1 and several coworkers were setting a large elbow inlet duct onto the bag house on unit #1. Employee #1 was killed when he fell 50 ft and landed on a fan platform. He was wearing a safety belt and lanyard, but the lanyard was not attached to the safety line. No one saw him fall.
