Investigation Summary
EMPLOYEE #1 WAS WORKING IN A BEER FERMENTATION TANK ALONE AND UNOBSERVED. HE WAS DISCOVERED LYING ON THE FLOOR OF THE TANK AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO A HOSPITAL. HE DIED WHILE AT THE HOSPITAL. THE CORONER STATED THAT HIS REPORT WOULD INDICATE DEATH WAS BY NATURAL CAUSES. (A CORONARY ARTERIAL OCCLUSION.) CARBON DIOXIDE IS PRESENT DURING AND AFTER THE FERMENTATION PROCESS, BUT NO BLOOD/GAS TEST WAS DONE DURING THE AUTOPSY.
