Investigation Summary
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on July 25, 2014, an employee was operating a tractor equipped with an herbicide tank spraying weeds along the fence at the north side of the facility. The employee encountered a 23 degree slope between the fence and the north grain ring where the tractor rolled over and pinned the employee. The employee was discovered by coworkers the following morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. The County Coroner determined the cause of death as compressional asphyxiation.
