ON JULY 26, 1985, AT APPROXIMATELY 5:30 PM EMPLOYEE #1 WAS CUTTING A PIECE OF BOARD FOR A CUSTOMER ON THE RADIAL ARM SAW LOCATED IN THE YARD AREA OF THE BUSINESS. WHILE CUTTING, THE WOOD SLIPPED AND PULLED EMPLOYEE #1'S HAND INTO THE SAW, RESULTING IN THE AMPUTATION OF HIS THUMB.
