Investigation Summary

On January 16, 2014, Employee #1, an 18-year-old male with Guadalajara Meat Market, was working as a butcher and was deboning a large pork leg with a knife. With his left hand, Employee #1 held down a pork leg on a cutting table, and was cutting through the meat with a knife that was in his right hand. The knife slipped out of the meat and hit his abdomen. Employee #1 suffered deep laceration to his abdomen. Employee #1 was treated and hospitalized for three days. Employee #1 was not a contract employee. This employer was engaged in the operation of meat market and grocery store.
