Employee Suffers Burns When Splashed by Caustic Chemicals

On September 3, 2013, Employee #1, a production worker, Analox Washer, was cleaning printing plates in an Analox machine. The employee was attempting to replenish his chemical used in his work area when he was splashed by a caustic chemical as the chemical drum was being put into place. Employee #1 was initially taken to an urgent care clinic, and later taken by his spouse to a hospital, where he was admitted and hospitalized with surgical treatment for chemical burns to his arms and legs. The employee remained hospitalized.
