Roofer Is Killed in Fall Through Skylight

On June 20, 2013, Employee #1, an independent roofing contractor, was working as a subcontractor for the roofing/building contractor that was reroofing a commercial warehouse building. Employee #1 was removing fasteners from a fiberglass skylight panel on the building's low-sloped metal roof. He fell through the skylight panel and 15 feet to the building's concrete floor. Employee #1 was killed.
