Investigation Summary
At approximately 8:20 p.m. on August 10, 2013, an employee was working as a tow-truck driver and a race track official on the race track. The employee was standing next to tow-truck on the infield behind a K-rail, when a speeding race car slammed into and climbed the rail and struck him. The employee went into traumatic full cardiac arrest after being struck by the race car. The employee was killed.
