Employee Is Killed When Struck by Vehicle

At approximately 2:17 p.m. on January 6, 2014, Employee #1, a Lead Technician, was sitting in a chair at a desk in the service bay area of the dealer ship. A coworker was finishing up an oil change on a customer's vehicle and was about to move the car. The coworker mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. This caused the car to launch across the service bay area striking the desk where Employee #1 was sitting, pinning him in between the desk, the wall and the car. Emergency Medical Services were called, and Employee #1 was pronounced at the scene.
