Employee Is Struck and Killed by Truck While in Vehicle

On January 27, 2014, Employee #1, a highway authority maintenance worker, was aiding a disabled motorist on a toll road. He was in his maintenance vehicle, when a semi-trailer truck struck him. The maintenance vehicle was pushed into the rear of a disabled semi-tractor trailer. Both the maintenance vehicle and the semi-tractor trailer truck burst into flames. Employee #1 was killed in the collision.
