Employee Amputates Finger While Replacing Valve

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on January 30, 2014, Employee #1 was in the cream pasteurizing room conducting tests on the leak and divert valves. He replaced a valve after the test and placed his left pinky finger over a spring loaded plunger ball. When the valve cycled, it amputated his finger at below the knuckle.
