Employee Falls from Tree and Receives Fractures

At approximately 10:20 p.m. on June 9, 2012, Employee #1 was in a tree and trimming its branches. As he worked, lost his balance and fell from the tree. His tie-off point failed on his safety line, which resulted in him falling approximately 20 ft. He sustained serious injuries that included fractures to his right leg, ribs and several vertebrae. Employee #1 was transported to a medical center, where he received treatment and was hospitalized for postoperative care.
