Employee Fractures Foot and Ankle When Forklift Hits Wall

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on January 10, 2014, Employee #1, of Jarrow Industries, Inc., a warehouse operator, was driving a reach truck (Model Number RR3520-35, Serial Number 1A161716) between racks 1,000 and 2,000 toward the southeast corner of the warehouse. The employee was traveling with the forks trailing, while using his left foot to prevent the vehicle from impacting the wall resulting in a serious injury. Employee #1 was transported to an area hospital via ambulance, where he was treated for fractures to his foot and ankle. The employee was hospitalized for over twenty-four hours for other medical observation.
