Kitchen Worker Fractures Skull in Fall from Ladder

On August 30, 2012 Employee #1, a 59-year-old male with Ocean Commercial Supply Inc. Ocean Commercial Supply Inc OCSI is a company that manufactures stainless steel kitchen appliances for the commercial industry such as restaurants. OCSI fabricates the appliances in their shop, then transports and installs them in restaurant kitchens. It is undetermined how Employee #1 was injured. There were no witnesses to its occurrence and Employee #1 did not have a recollection of how the incident occurred. Employee #1 sustained head injuries requiring seventeen nights of hospitalization. Employee #1 was inside the kitchen of a restaurant during the incident. Prior to the incident Employee #1, was working with two corkers and were making a delivery of appliances to a restaurant. A five-step A-frame stepladder was found on top of Employee 1's leg after the incident.
