Employee Falls from Scissor Lift and Suffers Several Fractur

On January 27, 2012 Employee #1 of Faxon Auto Literature Inc., was attempting to cut a branch from a tree which was approximately 24 ft. from the ground below. Employee #1 was in a scissor lift about to lower the elevated platform when the scissor lift overturned. Employee #1 sustained serious injuries which included a fractured right arm, broken pelvis, and punctured lung. The scissor lift was a Ballymore model number HW4-24 Serial number 2909. Factors involved included placement of the scissor lift on an inclined surface as well as failure to use leveling jacks of scissor lift.
