Employee Gets Finger Tip Amputation

On March 2, 2012, Employee #1, a carpenter of Barret Busines Services, Inc, was operating a personal Skil saw (Mag 77) with a worm drive, and 7 1/4 carbide tip blade to cut 4 inch notches into a 6 inch by 10 inch douglas fir wood beam. The beam was positioned on the ground, and he was standing up while cutting down when the saw blade bound up and kicked back causing a left finger tip amputation.
