Employee Electrocuted While Working on Power Lines

At approximately 10:03 a.m.on October 6, 2011, Employee #1 was electrocuted while changing out the guys on a power transmission line. Employee #1 was working on a tower from the ground. Employee #1 completed the work on that tower and consent was given from the ground's foreman, to disconnect the ground line using the hot stick gun stick. While attempting to remove the ground line static electricity was created, as the end of the ground clamp came loose from the tower. In an attempt to keep the cable away from his body, Employee #1's hand made contact with the cable, causing an electrocution. Employee #1 was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
