Employee's Arm Is Crushed and Lacerated by Machine Rollers

On September 30, 2011, Employee #1, a machine operator, was working for his employer, a manufacturer of prepreg materials used in circuit boards. Employee #1 worked on a Beck sheeting machine (Serial Number 1255). At the end of the day, Employee #1 was attempting to clean the machine rollers, with the power on, and two rollers caught his arm and drew it in. Employee #1 sustained crushing injuries and a laceration to his arm that required hospitalization for more than three days. The employer and the local fire department notified the Division on September 30, 2011 that Employee #1 had suffered a serious injury earlier that same day.
