Investigation Summary
On January2, 2012, Employee #1 was conducting a drug search of a vehicle, which was parked in the break-down lane of I-95. on Interstate 95. The employee positioned his flatbed tow truck in front of the vehicle that was to be searched, in preparation for the removal of the vehicle, and was placing orange caution cones along the HOV lane. Employee #1 was struck by a passing motor vehicle. The employee was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from cardiac arrest.
