Employee Is Injured in Fall from Roof

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on February 13, 2012, an employee was installing electrical solar panels. The employee and a coworker were on the roof of a house without wearing fall protection. The employee was walking backwards so that he could check the levelness of a solar panel. While walking backwards, the employee stepped off the edge of the roof. Per the report from another employee of the company, it is estimated that the injured employee fell approximately 25 feet to the ground/surface below. The injured employee received emergency medical treatment from paramedics and was transported to the hospital. The employee was hospitalized in excess of 24 hours for a fracture. The accident was reported just after midnight on February 14.
