Employee Is Injured in Fall from Extension Ladder

On Saturday, June 4, 2011, Employee # 1, a window installer, was standing on the top rung of a 16 foot fiberglass extension ladder. Employee # 1 over reached laterally to perform caulking around the window and the ladder fell over causing him to fall 13 feet. Employee # 1 legs got caught on the fence, and he hit the cement walkway face first. Employee #1 was treated at UCSD Medical Center for a broken right arm, stitches to the lip, and fractures to the face. Employee # 1 was hospitalized for more than 24 hours.
