Employee Sustains a Fractured Ankle as it Got Pinned by Fork

On March 3, 2012 Employee #1 of Kokyo Sushi Buffet, Inc., was requested by the distributor to pick up an urgent supply of ribs at the distributor's warehouse to avoid a food supply shortage in the restaurant during the weekend. Employee #1 was struck in between the pallet jack and wood pallets when he was attempting to pull a pallet jack out of the way in an aisle of racks blocking the goods. Employee #1 sustained a right ankle fracture. He was admitted and treated for his injuries at Eden Medical Center, Castro Valley.
