Investigation Summary
On March 3, 2011, three employees were setting up a metal scaffold and moved the scaffolding closer to the house they were working on. Employee # 1 and Employee # 2 were on the south end of the scaffold, and Employee # 3 was on the north end of the scaffold. Employee # 1 moved the scaffold and accidentally made contact with the overhead electrical power line (approximately 7,200 volt). Employee # 1 and Employee # 2 were electrocuted, and Employee # 3 was blown away from the scaffold. Entergy electrical company was contacted to deenergize the power lines to render safe for rescue personnel to enter to retrieve the employee's bodies.
