Employee #1 was leased to a company to pull irrigation pipes, but was directed by the company to perform tree maintenance in the almond orchard. Employee #1, sustained the serious injury when the chain contacted his left lower extremity. It was determined Employee #1 had not completed training to be qualified to use a chain saw, or as a qualified tree worker and was not provided personal protective equipment.
