Employee Strikes Head on Truck Cab, Later Dies

On July 30, 2010, Employee #1, a truck driver, was in the loading area at steel company loading his truck. The employee was entering the cab of the truck, and he fell back to the floor and struck his head. He was found lying on the floor unresponsive. Employee #1 was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he died approximately four months later. There were no witnesses to the accident and one serious citation was given for no AWAIR program.
