Investigation Summary
On December 22, 2011, Employee #1, a 20-year-old male sanitation worker with Foster Farms Inc., was cleaning the breast skinner machine. Employee #1 used a hose to spray the equipment. Employee #1 sawed a piece of skin on a sprocket and reached in to remove it. The sprocket grabbed Employee's glove. Employee #1 suffered a fractured wrist and forearm which required surgery.
